Alice In A Different Kind of Wonderland
Alice in a Different Kind of wonderland is a the concept of two worlds colliding. The one of reality, and the one of fantasy. Alice in Wonderland is a literally piece that takes Alice, and the reader into an extraordinary world of mystery, and imagination. My piece reflects the fantastical and the imaginative aspects of the literary tale, in a humourous and fun depiction.
Originally, I wanted to incorporate the idea of the "scenes" from the movies, but when I was outside taking the photos, I found something more fun to work with. Each of these photos represent both the reality, and the imaginative aspects of Alice in Wonderland. From the duplicated Alice, to the floating tea pot and illustrated cake, to the laughter and surprise in Alice's face, this piece reflects the joining of two worlds. And isn't that an exciting predicament to be in?
